 Useful for sealing doors May 13, 2010

I purchased this to seal around my front door (of an apartment, so it's not exterior), mainly for sound-proofing. I like that it's white, and I couldn't find anything white in my local home improvement store. It's also inexpensive to try. I had originally tried a thicker (5/16") foam tape and had trouble getting it all the way around the door because the door wouldn't close. I found that this tape is the right thickness (3/16") to seal the space around my door. I could put it all the way around and still close the door easily. Since it makes contact and squishes a little all the way around it does a good job of sealing the door. I found the improvement in sound-proofing to be significant. Of course I still have the area between the door jamb and the bottom of the door to figure out. I haven't been as successful there. But, I definitely recommend this product. Just be sure to get the right thickness for your door.

Great for doors, Fits perfectly, and is a lot stickier than I thought. Does what it says and for very cheap. I think this is the most common length for doors (at least indoor ones).

this item does not doesn't stick very well and i'm using it on a flat surface on the ground, so it has gravity on it's side and still sticks bad

Works well. I bought this to put along a door jamb to provide an extra level of sound-proofing. Works well and as expected. BIG NOTE to users - don't remove the paper backing after it is applied. I did on one section and even though the surface was not sticky, it stuck to my door. Had to buy another package to replace that section.

This product works if you can get it to stick. It peeled off 10 mins after applying. I used a glue gun, then it stuck.
